Category: Sort by: Create New Post - 5d Chairrail for 5/8" wall? - We are getting ready to install another Greenwood (which people just LOVE) this time on a 5/8" wall. I dont think the 5/8" RailHold is available yet, so we may need to shim again. Has anyone found a better way? What do use for shims? Like 0 0 24 - 5d Powerful stapler needed - Hello everyone, for some reason it looks like a previous thread about this same topic is not available so I cannot add this to that one. I did want to drop a follow-up note so others wouldn't go through what I did. I tried two different staplers and three different brands of staples trying to find one that would go through the TRIM pieces. The following two were not powerful enough to get through the TRIM board and the staples simply folded. I finally broke down and purchased what I think is the identical one used in the youtube videos and I'm happy to report it works GREAT. I view it as a good thing that the TRIM is so robust. It did take a few trips to the box stores to get the right tool so if you are going to DIY, just start with the one that works and save some time. Our casings are not present yet and I feel it would be cleaner looking if we installed up to the jam and then put the casing on top of the Enduraflood. Does anyone have any experience with this or a reason it may not work? Like 1 0 203 - 5d Reassembly of Panels after flood - I would label the panel in this order from Left to Right in each room. To Put back the assembly after a flood, Install Vertical, then panel, then vertical, panel, Finally Base 1,2,3,4..... (1) Room Id, (2)Vertical Trim label as A,B,C... (3) Panel ID..1,2,3,4... I am trying to figure out the transition due to depth variations. The finish chair rail and trim are only designed for 1/2" or 5/8" finishes. With tile, I will be well beyond that. cliff.hill Oct 20 Closed Cell Foam Insulation in Questions & Answers I am rebuilding the ground floor walls in my Florida stilt house and this looks like the right material to finish the walls. I am planning to waterproof the wood with Red Guard or a similar material and I was planning to insulate it with closed cell polyurethane spray foam that does not absorb water. hugdebbie Nov 8 Rounded corners in Questions & Answers Has anybody done an installation in a home with the round corners? We have round edges around 3 sets of glass sliders and one other “frame” that is rounded. Wondering what solution there is for those types of corners. chris.vonroretz Sep 15 Adjacent corners (ex: in- and out-,) in Questions & Answers At a few places in our basement, we have two immediately adjacent corners (almost like a "Z"), of an inside then then outside corner, with only a couple inches along a short wall. Or around the edges of our closets (sliding doors) where it would be two outer corners right next to each other. What would be the best way to manage this? Buying all the appropriately HORI-CORs, and cutting them short to fit? Other ideas? Many thanks!
