EnduraFlood installations offer a great way to add style and sophistication to your living space. One example is the EnduraFlood CHAIR-RAIL TRIM that adds a wonderfully traditional look to any wall.
In this tutorial, we’ll discuss how to install RAILI-HOLD/12 and CHAIR-RAIL to half-inch drywall with inside and outside corners

We always start with RAILI-HOLD/12 and staple it to wooden studs. Even though not shown here, RAILI-HOLD/12 can also be mounted to metal studs using UNI-RIV.
We then install the panels as always and finish the bottom of the wall with UNI-BASE.
For more information about this step, see our tutorial video 110: Basic Installation on a Straight Wall

To install the CHAIR-RAIL, note how it is built to fit snugly over our RAILI-HOLD. Simply slide it in place from the top.
Let’s demonstrate this on an actual piece of two-by-four wall.

To install the CHAIR-RAIL on inside corners, miter cut your RAILI-HOLD so that both corner pieces can slide all the way into the corner.

.
Then we miter cut our-CHAIR RAIL pieces and slide them snugly onto the RAILI-HOLD/12 and into the corner. As always, we finish the wall using UNI-BASE as baseboard trim.

If you encounter a loose fit due to drywall inconsistencies, lock your CHAIR RAIL in place with the CR-LOCK PIN as shown.

To build an outside corner, start by using RAILI-COR/12-O and staple it to your studs. We then continue along the wall using RAILI-HOLD/12.
Now, we mount our wall panels using VERTI-COR/O for the separation between the panels and install UNI-BASE.

Before mounting the CHAIR-RAIL/A, miter cut the edges and carve out a notch so it fits comfortably over the edge of the VERTI-COR/O. Slide the CHAIR-RAIL pieces into place.

And you’re done. Congratulations. Another great-looking wall panel finished with EnduraFlood.
