How to work on Odd Corners

In this post, we will demonstrate how to adjust EnduraFlood inside and outside corner pieces and ENDU-BOARDs for corners that are not 90 degrees.

The main tool you will need for this project is a heat gun. Always follow the heat gun manufacturer’s operating and safety instructions.

To adjust an inside or outside corner piece, set the heat gun to a medium setting. Rotate the corner piece in front of the heat gun several times so the material warms evenly. Once the piece becomes pliable, carefully adjust it to the desired angle.

Hold the corner piece in its new position until it has cooled. After cooling, it will maintain its new shape. We recommend practicing this process on a piece of scrap material before working on the actual installation.

To create an odd angle in an EnduraFlood ENDU-BOARD, first mark the position of the corner’s vertex. Using a sharp utility knife, create a notch on the inside of the board.

Make two opposing 45-degree cuts approximately halfway through the board. Be careful not to cut completely through it.

Using the heat gun, warm both sides of the board evenly. This may take a few minutes. As the board becomes pliable, carefully bend it along the notch until it reaches the desired angle.

Hold the board in position until it has cooled completely. Once cool, the board will maintain its new shape.

And there you have it. Your EnduraFlood components are now adjusted to fit an odd-angle corner.

Thank you for watching!
