How to create a knockdown wall texture on EnduraFlood boards
In this post, we will demonstrate how to apply a knockdown wall texture to an EnduraFlood ENDU-BOARD so the finished panel blends in with surrounding knockdown-textured walls.
For this project, you will need aerosol knockdown wall texture, a knockdown knife, a paint roller, and standard latex interior paint. We also recommend wearing gloves and covering your work surface with kraft paper or a drop cloth. Always follow the operating and safety instructions on the texture and paint products, and work in a well-ventilated area.
Lay the ENDU-BOARD flat on your covered work surface. Shake the texture can well, then spray the knockdown texture evenly across the board. Hold the can a consistent distance from the surface and apply in even passes, building up a uniform stipple of wet spatter across the entire board.

Allow the texture to set. Wait until it is no longer wet and glossy but is still soft to the touch. Then, using the knockdown knife, lightly drag across the surface in long, even strokes. This flattens the raised peaks into the mottled knockdown pattern. Keep the pressure light and consistent, and wipe the knife clean between passes for the best results.

Allow the texture to dry completely. Once dry, paint the board using standard latex interior paint and a roller. Apply at least two coats for complete and even coverage, allowing the paint to dry between coats.

And there you have it. Your EnduraFlood board now has a clean knockdown wall texture that blends right in with the surrounding walls.
Thank you for watching!
