Project Questions
in Questions & Answers
Hello all,
I live in Alaska, and we have some minor annual flooding in our basement and it causes the drywall and wood baseboard to get mold.. The water usually is just around the edges in the trough for the studs and only sometimes a bit gets out on the floor.
Our plan is to do EnduraFlood all around the basement. 36" Greenwood and Chair Rail trim to be exact.
I have two questions.
1) A couple of the walls have OSB behind the drywall. Will that present any issues with installing the EnduraFlood system?
2) The hallway to the basement never gets any water, but we were thinking of just cutting out the bottom 2" of drywall, and using the EnduraFlood baseboard. I am not sure how it all works, so this may not be a feasible solution. Any advise?
Thank you, appreciate anyone who takes the time to respond.
