When stapling the uni-trim, the staples won’t go all the way in & end up getting crushed & crumpled as if the plastic is too tuff. I’m using an ele stapler gun.
Sometimes they go in but not all the way. so then I tap them in further with a hammer. On the box of staples it says heavy duty. Why is it so hard to put a staple through the plastic? Same thing with a hand stapler. Curtis in Florida
same problem what did you do to resolve have same gun and tried 3 differnt staples
Curtis, do you have a picture of what you are using? When we started this we were trying to use what we thought they meant and we had used before to staple a carpet runner to our stairs. Turns out that device was not strong enough. If you watch one of the installation videos it shows what tools to use. We got one for maybe 65 dollars and it worked really fine.
Best of luck!

Here is the vid (sorry had some trouble uploading)
I just saw this and was in the tool shop. Thought I'd check this out because I havent had an issue like this but wanted to make sure there is nothing i am missing before the next job next week. Here is the video I took. The staple gun is pretty standard, Ryobi from that big orange store. It was set on max and I dont think I have ever used on less than max so I dont if that makes a difference. I cant even tell you which staples we use which is to say they are nothing special I am sure. Hope this helps!
